Make an Enquiry

This website isn’t a crisis service. If you need to talk to someone now, free call or text 1737 (NZ) or call Lifeline 13 11 14 (AU).

This page explains, in plain language, what happens to the information you share through this website. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What the forms collect

There are two forms on the Contact page.

  • Seeking support for grief: your answers to the five readiness questions (yes or no), your name, email address, location if you give it, the practitioner you'd like to contact (if any), and your message.
  • Contact Graham (joining, training or a general question): your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your message and, for practitioners, the professional details you choose to share.

Please only share what you're comfortable with. You don't need to include personal details of your loss in your first message.

Who receives it

Your enquiry is sent by email only to the practitioner you chose and to Graham Southwell, who coordinates IADC in New Zealand. If you don't choose a practitioner, it goes only to Graham. Contact Graham messages go only to Graham. You'll also get an email confirming your enquiry was sent; it doesn't repeat your answers to the readiness questions.

We don't sell your information, use it for marketing, or share it with anyone else.

Nothing is stored on this website

The website doesn't keep your enquiry. There is no database, and the content of the forms isn't saved or logged. Once your email has been sent, the only copies are in the inboxes of the people who received it.

There are no accounts or logins on this site.

Services we use

  • Postmark sends the form emails. Like any email service, it keeps a delivery record of sent messages for a limited time.
  • Cloudflare hosts the website and runs the security check on the forms (Turnstile), which helps stop spam without puzzles or tracking cookies.
  • Plausible Analytics counts visits to pages. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across sites, and never sees what you type into the forms.
  • Fonts (Adobe Fonts), the home page video (Bunny) and the practitioners map (OpenStreetMap) load from their providers, which receive your IP address in the normal way when your browser requests them.

Some of these providers are based overseas. We use them only to run this website.

Your information, your choice

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you've sent us. Email hello@iadc.nz and we'll respond as soon as we can. Once a practitioner is working with you, their own professional privacy obligations also apply.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
