How to Become an Induced After-Death Communication (IADC) Therapist

Who Can Train in IADC?

IADC is a specialised therapeutic approach used to support individuals experiencing unresolved grief. If you are interested in training in IADC, there is a clear pathway for eligible mental health professionals.

To undertake IADC training, you must be a licensed or registered mental health professional.

In addition:

  • Clinicians who have completed at least the first weekend of EMDR Basic Training are eligible to apply directly for IADC training.
  • Clinicians who are not EMDR-trained may still be eligible after completing a Bilateral Stimulation (BLS) Primer, which provides the foundational skills required for the approach.

Training Pathway

IADC training is delivered internationally through the IADC Institute.

The training builds on existing therapeutic skills and introduces the structured IADC process, including the use of bilateral stimulation in the context of grief work.
